Hall and Jones Windows and Doors now supply the SOLICORE Range. SOLICORE is driven by innovating products which help our customers stand out from the crowd. Developing a SOLICORE door was a logical step but it needed to push the boundaries. Drawing on the collective experience of our team and our specialist partners, we are able to offer the first composite door engineered with SOLICORE technology.
SOLICORE technology is a hybrid of modern and traditional materials and has been engineered to deliver a door that is stronger, more rigid and thermally stable than anything on the market.
The solid inner core consists of 3 layers of cross laminated engineered hardwood, which is encased with LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) and hardwood stiles and rails for protection against any water ingress, and then pressed with SOLICORE’s signature 4mm GRP skins.
The result is a door that will not crack, move or de-laminate, requires minimal maintenance and will look beautiful and protect the home for years to come. Safety & Security – the DNA of SOLICORE technology.

Encased LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) & hardwood stiles and rails for stability and protection against water ingress. 3 layered inner core of cross laminated engineered hardwood, creating a stronger, heavier and more robust door, that offers exceptional results when it comes to thermal efficiency too.
SoliCORE’s signature 4mm GRP skins are pressed onto the core with a unique method, ensuring flawless correlation with the core. Available in three finishes that can be painted any colour, they are a stylish, formidable barrier that requires minimal maintenance.
FoamCORE Composite Doors
Hall and Jones now also offeres the FoamCORE Composite Door. The Ultimate FoamCORE door offers a high level of security, with increased resistance to forced entry, and reinforced GRP skins as standard.
With the Ultimate FoamCORE, the emphasis is firmly on choice with a comprehensive range of designs, finishes and colours. 6.8mm laminated units supplied as standard.
The Ultimate FoamCORE composite door is the minimal-maintenance alternative to traditional materials. It has 44mm reinforced GRP skins, finished in either woodgrain or an exclusive smooth/etched finish that perfectly matches aluminium, delivering kerb appeal for any property.
Technical Specifications
- Grained GRP SMC skins are available in a wide variety of styles and colours, including wood stains
- Stiles and Rails are manufactured from a water-resistant polymer
- LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) is used as the main internal reinforcement
- Skins and sub frame are bonded with a Urethane Adhesive Resin
- The door is filled with CFC-Free Polyurethane Foam density 44.5 – 45.5g/㎥
